the soccer team...

soccer season is over and it is really weird to actuall have a life. the team this year was amazing, i was previledged to be a part of it. the 3 captains are so awesome and really led the team this year. the seniors will be greatly missed next year. getting to have older girls are this team that can be role models is awesome. not everyone can say that about their college soccer team. i miss hanging out with all the girls everyday from 2-4! cant wait till next year. go lady choctaws

laguna formal...

this past weekend Laguna had their formal. this is a weekend that so many girls in the tribe look forward to. so much goes into this weekend. it is so fun to see every one all dressed up for this event. this year Laguna's formal was in memphis. memphis is such a fun city! the night went great. everyone had a blast dancing the night away. i think we set a record for the most soccer players to attend a formal together. there were so many of us there which was so fun. we tooks some great pictures. there are 9 freshman soccer players in Laguna, and almost all of us took soccer guys, plus some of the older girls that took soccer players. needless to say we had a blast, and we made a scene with all the group soccer pictures we took. the weekend was a blast!

the Lord is so great in so many ways. i love those days when you can just feel His presence. the days were He just gives you those little nudges just to remind you He is there. He is so faithful, praise the Lord that He doesn't give up on me, even when im mad at Him and dont understand what He is thinking. He is so awesome, words cannot describe. have a great week.

homecoming...

this weekend was homecoming at MC. it was a blast. we had a soccer game on Saturday and a ton of the laguna pledges and actives came to watch it. it was so fun to have their support, it meant alot. so many things went on during homecoming week. follies, float building parties, football game, tailgates, and the bonfire. homecoming weekend was a fun filled tiring weekend. it will take me some time to catch up on my sleep deprivation from the last week. i hear that homecoming hasnt always been this fun in the past so nice work SGA on improving it. by the way we won our soccer game to we have clenched a spot in the conference tournament. now the goal is to get first or second seed so we can have a bye the first round of play. we leave thurday for another roadtrip to texas yay!

first of all i am so behind on all these blogs! i always forget to do them on sunday afternoons!! school is the last thing i think about on sundays...o well.

so rush is finally about to be over. out laguna pledge class has been working so hard over the last couple of weeks for follies. im so glad its finally over. we did such a great job, even though our music didnt work, we still should have placed in the top 3. we were pretty bummed when we didnt but thats okay. we are so close to being done with pledge stuff, i will no longer have to worry about the mouse mafia trying to steal my laguna ribbon while im not looking. awesome. yay now for another insane crazy week. so many test....sweet

i would have to guess that most of us know what jeremiah 29:11 say, but i just write it out here anyways. "For i know the plans i have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you and hope and a future." no matter how many times i read that verse it is comforting. imagine if we got to make the plans for our lives (i know sometimes i still think i can make them). do you know how bad they would suck! my life would be such a mess because what i think i need/want is not what the Lord says. i am so glad that the Lord is in control and not me. and praise the Lord that even when i say i want to be in control He still doesnt budge, he just calms my heart and lets me know that His plan is perfect. i need to be reminded of that daily. not only is his plan perfect but there is a reason for everything that happens to me, good or bad. sometimes i get so confused or dont know why things happen, and sometimes i dont ever get answers but i just have to trust that His plan is perfect.

so we had rush skits on friday and saturday night. these are where the 4 tribes put on a 45 min. skit so we can learn more about them. we had 2 friday and we had 2 saturday. the tribes sent us a note thursday night at 1 am to tell us what we had to wear to their skit. Laguna told us we had to dress up as either a ninja or a pirate...obviously i chose the ninja because it is way cooler...Kissimee told us to be a shoe....a shoe really? so me and one of my good friends Bri decided to be a pair of nike tennis shoes...our outfits kicked tail and were awesome...the skits were great they both did a good job, but the best part was the after party with Laguna! we had a blast dancing for forever! on saturday night we had NT and ST's skits. for ST we had to dress up like a we were going on a hot date or a vegetable. haha i dressed up like i was going on a date. for NT we had to dress up like a hiphop dancer. so fun! a couple of my friends and i dressed up like MC's best dance crew! NT had a after party which was so fun and we got to dance alot! rush has been such a blast. now to choose a tribe! hahaha

Usually i go to First Presbyterian Jackson on Sundays, but today I went with some of the soccer girls to Church of the Highlands in Ridgeland. It was very fun to experience a new environment. It was so different from the Presbyterian Church in Jackson, and from the one in my hometown. It was so neat though to see how the Lord moves in so many different environments. It was so apparent that He was there. The Lord is so amazing and unfathomable. I had a conversation today with a friend about that. About how we can not/do not always understand the Lord and his plan. So I started thinking, how would it be if i could understand the Lord. Well I could understand Him he wouldn't be who He says He is. That is what makes the Lord so amazing. We cant put him in a box, He's undefinable! We need to stop minimizing God and just enjoy him for his perfection and excellence.
